In New Orleans, there are old buildings everywhere; most of them are hotels and restaurants. The older restaurants usually serve the best food; one particular vintage restaurant that everyone frequently visits is called Antoine. The Antoine Restaurant was built back in the 1800s, and the overall building is still in good condition. The food, however, is not cheap, but each dish is worth its cost. Antoine Restaurant has been serving tourists and locals for a very long time; some of the staff has worked at this restaurant for years. Because of this, a few of the waiters do not move quickly, so it may take a while to get orders. The veteran waiters are very good at their jobs; they never write down orders, they always memorize them. Sometimes, however, guests may have to talk loudly so that the waiter can hear them. The older waiters generally have a tough time hearing, but they usually understand guests’ requests after they request their order several times. A long time ago, there was a dress code at this restaurant; however, there is not one today. Tourists generally visit this place after they finish touring the French Quarter and Bourbon Street, and you should too. Before you do, however, you need to know the location of the best tables in the building. The front of the restaurant is not a good place to seat; this is a very bright area, and the chairs are not very comfortable. In fact, the chairs are hard, and most people who sit on them usually request to be removed. The dining area in the back is a better place to seat; this area has a dark rosy design, and it looks similar to an elegant ballroom. The food is outstanding at Antoine Restaurant; one of the most ordered items is the Oyster Rockefeller. This dish contains a number of delicious oysters, and it is served a very secret sauce. Many individuals have tried to guess the ingredients in the sauce, but they could never figure it out. This is a fantastic, tasty sauce, and you will enjoy eating it with the oysters. As for drinks, you have to request for a wine menu because no one will bring one to you useless you ask. After you ask for the menu, you will have to wait for a least 5 minutes before you actually get it. On a busy day, you might have to wait even longer, but the amount of wines on the menu is worth it. Before you leave the restaurant, you should definitely visit the wine cellar. The wine cellar is a 140-foot long hallway, which contains an amazing amount of wine. Antoine Restaurant has great food; everything on the menu is worth trying once. The staff is friendly and helpful, but some of them are middle aged, which is why some guests
