1-2 days in the Bahamas - Towne Hotel
Towne Hotel in The Bahamas is not a good place to stay for two or more weeks, but it is an excellent place to stay for a few days. The surrounding area is well worth touring, particularly the straw market; many great items can be purchased there.

Towne Hotel is a good hotel for a 1-2 day stay in the Bahamas because the rooms are very comfortable. The hotel breakfast, however, is limited, but the lunch menu is outstanding; there are many lunchtime choices. As for fun, a straw market is close by, which is good place to shop for bargains and souvenirs. Overall, there is only one negative thing about the area, but the problem is solvable.
Upon arriving at the Towne Hotel, one of the first things you will notice is parrots in the lobby. The parrots stay there all of the time, and most guests have concerns about this. They think that the parrots needed a better environment to sleeping because people constantly enter and exit the hotel, which disturbs them. The good thing is that the parrots are very healthy, so the staff is doing a reasonable good job taking care of them.
The rooms are small at Towne Hotel, and the bathrooms are even smaller. Because of this, the suites are not ideal for families, they are only ideal for one or two individuals. The room, however, are comfortable places to relax because the air conditioners are very efficient. As for the cleanest of the rooms, the housekeepers keep each suite quite clean; they even provide clean towels everyday.
As mentioned earlier, the Towne Hotel has one negative; it deals with noise that occurs during the night, particular every Saturday night. During this time, everyone visits a rave club, which is very close to the hotel, and when the music starts, it does not stop until 4:00a.m. The music is very, very loud; the bass of the music generally makes the windows shake. If you plan to stay at Towne Hotel, you should most definitely visit on a weekday. If want to visit on a Saturday, the only way you will be able to sleep is by using a pair of noise canceling headphones.
The food at the hotel is good for the most part, but it would probably to best to go out for breakfast. Breakfast consists of cheese, a boiled egg, a muffin, and a glass of orange Tango; everything is good but not filling. Lunch, however, is great because there is a chef who cooks home-style dishes, which everyone enjoys.
Having fun while staying at Towne Hotel is possible; the hotel pool is a decent to visit during the day, and the nightclubs are excellent places to visit during the night. The pool is very small, which makes swimming challenging is it is crowded. Nightclubs are probably your best option; however, you will have to find things to do until they open. At 6p.m, everyone closes in the surrounding area; the clubs does not open until 10p.m, so you will have nothing to do for 4 hours. Because of this, if you plan to stay at Towne Hotel, bring books and movies, so you can keep yourself entertained until the clubs open.
Towne Hotel in The Bahamas only has one issue, it is close to a rave club, but other than that, it is a decent place to stay for 1-2 days.
